Record Production
1. Pre Production
We like to start every project with a pre production meeting. Here we will gather your musical influences, references tracks and go over the big picture of your album: What story do you want to tell? What vibe or style do you perform with? It all starts here.
2. Tracking Sessions
We move your project forward with tracking sessions. This is the time for your band to shine. No band, no problem; we have musicians that are for hire that can cover tracking of a variety of instruments as you see fit. You will start to see the project come together in this step.
3. Vocal Tracking
Vocals are usually the last thing to be tracked. We will have already recorded tracks edited; this way you are able to perform your music, rather than just take a vocal track to a click. Our main focus during these sessions is to capture the raw emotion that inspired the song.
4. Mixing
Mixing is the process of blending all the individual tracks in a recording to create a version of the song that sounds as good as possible – the “mix”. We balance and edit the tracks that have been recorded to capture the song the way you’ve always imagined it.
5. Mastering
Mastering is the last step in the process of making a professional-sounding song. The point of it is to balance the elements of the song and make it sound great no matter what speakers you use. Mastering polishes up your well-engineered and well-mixed track.
6. Distribution
We will help you arrange your songs on a variety of platforms: Spotify, Soundcloud, iTunes etc. We can help with CD production as well.
